The overall purpose of the role is to support the organic search engine ranking of RIANA’s subsidiary sites through developing relevant, high-quality and engaging content that ranks well in Google and other search engines. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SEO principles, research, and content marketing. The candidate will collaborate with the technical SEO team to optimize content that supports our marketing strategies across our Q-SYS, SecuViz and USS subsidiaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content writing and editing:
Write, edit, and publish high-quality blog posts, website copy, case studies and other relevant content forms.
Produce content that is informative, engaging, and aligned with our marketing objectives and brand voice.
Develop content that answers user search intent and provides value to the targeted audience.
Create and manage a content calendar that aligns with the overall marketing strategy and SEO objectives.
SEO Optimization:
Conduct thorough research to identify customer pain points, relevant topics and keywords to optimize content for search engines.
Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags, headings, internal and external linking strategies.
Monitor growth and analyze performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush to refine SEO content strategies.
Content Strategy:
Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to create SEO content strategy that aligns with the overall local and international marketing strategy.
Develop content themes and topics that resonate with our target audience and address their search pain points.
Contribute to the planning and execution of content marketing campaigns.
Research and Trend Analysis:
Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry trends to ensure content remains relevant and competitive.
Conduct in-depth research to support content creation and keyword selection utilizing credible tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush or any other preferred content research tool.
Editing and Quality Assurance:
Review content to ensure relevance, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Proofread content for grammar, punctuation, and style before publication to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Work closely with the designer, and other stakeholders to enhance content presentation and distribution.
Training and Development:
Provide guidance on SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
Engage in ongoing professional development, supported by the company or individually to continually enhance writing and SEO skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as a content writer, with a focus on SEO.
Proven portfolio demonstrating writing skills and a deep understanding of SEO principles.
Proficiency in content management systems.
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
Exceptional research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to take initiative and support the implementation of projects from ideation to completion.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cohesively across teams.
Experience optimizing SEO for international markets is an added plus.
