This vital role requires both deep and wide Cloud technology experience in customer facing setting. Ability to design and implement Cloud & DC technology solutions utilizing AWS, Office 365, Azure, EMS, and others.
Responsible for leading client engagements, RFP responses, developing service offerings, and participating in pre-sales process including the development of proposals and estimates. This role requires a technically strong Senior Consultant with diverse
Cloud competencies who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both Network and IT Infrastructure Design and Deployment. Also critical to this role is the need for an acute understanding of Business Development
Identifying relevant specific components and interfaces needed for a cloud infrastructure & virtualization platforms
Ability to spin up POCs and customer demos quickly based on customer requirements for new featuresfine tune technical solution to real world production deployment identifying external interfaces to OSS/BSS,Orch,VNFM ,chargeback and NFVI FCAPS
Should be able to handle commercial deployment and planning aspects such Auto deployment, Configuration management, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Restore
Working knowledge of white box COTS & vendor HW products on server(HP,Dell) . storage(EMC,NetApp) & DC network (HP,Juniper)
Architectural know how on special HW/SW based tech such as SR IOV,PCI pass-through ,DPDK and accelerators
End to end architectural know how on following Openstack components
RHEL host OS & Linux components (ovs)
Nova(Compute),
Cinder(storage)
CEPH storag
eFCOE and FC
iSCSI
Neutron(network) & SDN
VLAN and overlay (VXLAN, MPLSGRE etc)
DC network virtualization based on SDN controllers and virtual switches
Opendaylight SDN controllers and vendor specific controllers from Brocade, Juniper etc
Host based acceleration techniques such as 6Wind
Cloud Management Platform ( RedHat CloudForms, VIM controller)
End to end architectural know how on following VMWare components
Compute
Storage
Network
SDN
VMWare Nicira NSX controller
Edge NSX data plane services
Service chaining
Cloud management (vCloud and vRealise) & VIM (vCenter,vSphere)
Internetworking between Openstack and VMWare via GW and routers
Internetworking between virtualized infrastructure and bare metal via VXLAN GW
Internetworking between AWS and Azure Cloud architecture
Tenant virtual network implementation stretching across multiple NFVI Data centres
Security and auxiliary services (VPN,FW,DHCP,DNS etc) in Openstack and VMWare clouds
Responsible for Business Development, Sales and Revenue targets specifically for Regions and Global.
Required Skills And Qualifications
5-15 years of successful presales experience in professional services for cloud architecture assessment, enablement and design.
Demonstrated experience in technical Cloud Architecture presales background required.
Demonstrated experience in design, engineering and virtualization in the cloud environment including virtual machine deployment and management, cloud orchestration, service instantiation and assurance and cloud analytics.
Experience in product development of applications and web services.
Highly proficient and hands on experience with Datacenter/Infrastructure, Networking, Storage, and Security, IaaS, PaaS & SaaS Cloud technologies, specifically AWS, Azure or other platforms like Google, Oracle etc.
Thorough understanding of “cloud” technologies, market trends and ecosystem.
Have extensive knowledge and expertise of security ( optional ) and enterprise architecture
Ability to “think on your feet” in order to address new and changing environments.
