Job Description: As a Senior Software Developer at KPN Teleradiology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive PACS system to enhance our teleradiology services. You will work closely with our radiologists, AI developers, and IT team to create a robust and user-friendly system that meets the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of a PACS system from concept to deployment.
Collaborate with radiologists and other stakeholders to gather and define system requirements.
Design and implement software architecture that is scalable, secure, and efficient.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
Ensure the PACS system complies with relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
Integrate the PACS system with existing teleradiology solutions and AI diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
Ensuring software is UpToDate with latest technologies.
Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices in software development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on healthcare systems or medical imaging.
Proven experience in developing PACS systems or similar healthcare IT solutions.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
Experience with database management systems and SQL.
Knowledge of DICOM standards and HL7 protocols.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills
Experience with AI and machine learning integration.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in healthcare.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
