The Senior Project or Program Manager will be responsible for ALL implementation projects across East Africa specifically within the Financial Services vertical. The role is based in Kenya and will pay up to $130 000 fixed with bonus on top
The Senior Project Manager is part of the Middle East and Africa Professional Services organisation. It is a regional team who manage the delivery and implementation of my client’s products and services

The main purpose of the role is to manage and deliver implementation projects ensuring that customer solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This includes booking and managing resource assignments and cost administration; revenue forecasting; monitoring project margins to ensure targets are achieved; acting as general point of contact for all project related invoicing and resource questions.
The project manager’s main responsibilities will be to:
Manage all day to day aspects of projects including;
Manage all aspects of project administration activities;
Prepare monthly revenue forecasts within defined timescales;
Prepare pipeline review reports;
Act as a point of contact for PS project support questions.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
At least 8-10 years of experience in the management of complex IT projects, preferably within the financial Services industry;
Good knowledge of project management methodology and tools; PMI or PRINCE 2 certification is a benefit ;
10+ years’ experience in an operations or financial administration role with deep understanding of project financials;
Experience of project reporting and preparing and analysing reports;
Ability to develop strong customer relationships; Ability to set customer expectations and deliver solutions to issues raised by customers;
Flexible, adaptable and able to use own initiative to solve issues; Strong organisational and planning abilities;
To be considered for this role, you must have either worked for an International Software Vendor and have implemented enterprise software systems or applications across East Africa OR you have worked for a leading bank and you were/ are responsible for enterprise software/ systems implementations.
Key technologies you would have worked with: CRM, ERP, CORE BANKING, FINANCIAL SYSTEMS, TREASURY SYSTEMS or PLATFORMS
