Detailed Description

Reporting to the Manager, Materials & Cost Control, the position holder will be responsible for management of the Network CAPEX and NOPEX budgets & costs – Budget forecasting and cost evaluations, Management of Network materials and equipment – Materials forecasting, procurement, allocation and utilization, Contract Management – Request for Quotations (RFQs) preparations, contractor evaluations and administration of damages.

Responsibilities;

CAPEX Management

Preparation of detailed CAPEX budget for the network rollout, optimization and other adhoc projects.
Preparation of investment papers for budget justification to get CAPEX governance approval.
Preparation of budget requests for accurate budget loading for the Network CAPEX.
Network Budget Utilization, Monitoring & Reporting.
Review of quotations from contractors to ensure they conform to scope of works and approved/contractual rates.
Raise in Oracle ERP all Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) & resultant Purchase Orders (PO’s) for Technology Projects for both equipment and services.
Ensure timely acceptance/receipting of invoices in Oracle ERP for fully delivered projects and equipment/materials.

Network Equipment/Materials Management

Consolidation and harmonization of Network equipment and materials.
Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure ordered equipment and materials are delivered in good condition and on time for projects implementation.
Monitoring of material utilization and stock levels to avoid unexpected shortages.
Liaise with other departments for equipment and materials loaning where unforeseen or unplanned projects come up & follow up to ensure the loaned equipment and materials are replaced/backfilled.
Liaise with Supply Chain Management to ensure obsolete materials/equipment are sold out to ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space.
Verification of Material Requests (MR’s) forms to ensure accurate quantities are captured.
Process Internal Requisitions (IR’s) and Return Internal Requisitions (RIR’s) as per approved MR’s.

Contract Management

Preparation of all required Network Projects RFQs including Bills of Quantities.
Evaluation of RFQs for selection of suitable contractors.
Continuous performance evaluation of the contracted partners as per agreed service level agreements.
Analysis of project delays or equipment damages to ensure damages are administered accordingly.
Analysis of work allocation to contractors to ensure a balance of the same.
Required Technical and Professional Qualifications:
University Degree in Building Economics (Quantity Surveying)/Construction management/Civil Engineering or other equivalent qualification.
3 years post-graduation experience with minimum 2 years’ experience in Telecommunications industry
Project Management (Agile) Certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft application programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint et al).
Registration with relevant Professional Bodies is an added advantage
Good data analytics, visualization & reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
