Job Summary:
The Senior IT Officer is responsible for providing end-user IT system support to staff, handling of user queries, IT-related projects, IT infrastructure maintenance ensuring smooth and secure operations of core banking systems that meet the set SLA for smooth running of Bank
Key Responsibilities:
Resolve IT system user queries and problems within the TAT.
Troubleshooting, Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
Monitoring and maintaining Banks and its affiliate IT systems.
Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
Creation of new users’ accounts and profile.
Working with third parties to achieve IT related tasks
Perform preventive maintenance duties on IT system.
Perform EOD, EOM, EOY procedures
Collaborate with other departments to leverage technology to enhance business operations.
Manage network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
Server and systems administration-regular system updates and backups.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment
Managing and maintaining databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users.
Participate in IT projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Ensure high availability and performance of servers, network systems, databases, and other IT infrastructure.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect against data breaches, malware, and other cyber threats.
Provide technical support for the core banking software, ensuring updates, patches, and customizations are properly implemented.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
2-4 Years’ working experience
Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud services.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Database Administration, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL) are a plus.
