Senior Medical Physicist

Major responsibilities:    

Gain proficiency with all data acquisition systems required for Linac commissioning.
Assist and perform water phantom setup and measurements for on-site data collection.
Gain proficiency in all aspects of Varian HyperArc treatment planning and delivery.
Provide on-site support to HyperArc customers and support clinical consultancy for HyperArc implementation.    
Gain proficiency with different QA dosimetry tools and verification devices to collect and analyze data
Gain proficiency in TPS beam modelling (primarily Eclipse TPS).
Prepare commissioning and validation reports for HyperArc validation services, Linac commissioning reports and other AOS services, as necessary.
Provide on-site and/or remote physics support to customer sites relating to the above services.
May be required to provide annual quality assurance measurements to support AOS customers.
Provide MPE expertise to customers as required for specific projects and compliance with local regulations.
Support AOS process improvement initiatives, including documentation, working procedures and software development.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services for EMEA
Effective communication skills are an essential for the role.
The position will require travel within your region (~50% of the time).

Education / Experience:   

Educational requirements: MSc. or Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics or a closely related field is required in addition to state registration (or equivalent) as a qualified Clinical Medical Physicist (Medical Physics Expert or equivalent).

Number of years related experience: A minimum of five years of experience working as a Clinical Medical Physicist in radiation oncology at a mid to senior level is required. Experience gained during training is not considered.
