Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
Developing and implementing ICT systems and standards;
Carrying out feasibility studies for areas to be computerized;
Evaluating systems and ensuring adherence to established performance standards;
Maintaining primary and disaster recovery data centers;
Ensuring work and changes to the ICT infrastructure components are undertaken;
Administering and maintaining LAN & WAN;
Compiling progress reports on the operations of ICT systems;
Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement;
Controlling and monitoring user access to the databases;
Optimizing the performance of the databases; and
Planning for backup and disaster recovery systems
Job Requirements
Served in the grade of Information Communication Technology Officer I for a minimum period of three (3) years;
Bachelors in any of the following disciplines:- Computer Science; Information Science; Information Technology; Business Information Technology, or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Masters degree in any of the following disciplines:- Computer Science; Information Science; Information Systems; Information Technology; Business Information Technology, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Certificate in Management Course lasting not less than three (3) weeks from a recognized institution;
High integrity and high professional standards;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Showed merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
