Senior Finance Manager

Job Purpose:
The position will be responsible for providing leadership to the accounting & finance within respective group companies ensuring that financial control, policies, procedures and systems are in place and accurate for timely financial reporting. The job involves creation of management reports which are reviewed during various intervals.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

Manage pricing for all the shipments in liaison with the logistics lead.
Ensure capital assets reconciliations are done monthly.
Ensure all inventory reconciliations, physical stock take and monitoring are done on a monthly basis (some inventory requires weekly monitoring and some inventory requires daily monitoring).
Ensure all statutory returns are filed in a timely manner for all regions.
Ensure all supplier payments are made in a timely manner and reconciled
Ensure debt collection is done in a timely manner.
Monitor and ensure that the supplier CRM report is sent in a timely manner.
Review general ledger accounts and finance systems to ensure they are adequate for purposes of providing reliable management information.
Manager and monitor all sales trackers for all product lines across the region together with the sales KPIs which is reviewed at end of each quarter.
Manager all credit notes and ensure passing in the finance system accurately
Capture all pricing, discounts, credit notes and margins on the finance system for accurate reporting.
Prepare management accounts and other financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Support the development of forecasts for all key financial matters including logistics, cash, expenses, and profits.
Project cashflows in line with operational budgets, analyze cash and stock movements and monitor working capital levels to ensure cash commitments can be met as and when they fall due.
Implement appropriate internal control systems and financial procedures. Continually review operating procedures and controls and propose more effective procedures as necessary.
Work in liaison with auditors to ensure a well-executed audit process, facilitating implementation of corrective actions against issues raised following the closure of internal/external audits.
Support direct reports to achieve optimal performance, including work allocation, performance management, constructive feedback, and facilitation of ongoing professional and technical development.
All file records should be maintained and stored accurately.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Relevant professional qualification (CPA / ACCA or an equivalent).
Member of a relevant professional body.
7+ years’ experience in finance, 3 of which should be at a managerial level.
Demonstrate up to date financial knowledge including in-depth knowledge of IFRS, IAS and Kenyan Tax laws.
IT savvy with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills with ability to analyze and interpret data.
