Senior Driver People Security Partner

THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Security, Facilities & Travel and supervised by the People Security Partner (Kenya), the Senior Driver works closely with team members in the Kenya Country Office. This position will have frequent interaction with other Foundation staff and their delegates.
WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Driving services to Foundation personnel

Coordinate all ground transport-related matters to ensure the efficient functioning of the Country Office; responsible for the daily transportation plan and to make adjustments as required
Drive the assigned Foundation vehicle for the transportation of employees and other authorized personnel, on official business
Daily maintenance of Foundation vehicles to include checks on tyre condition and pressures; fuel, oil and lubricant levels, cleanliness and serviceability; correct documentation; safety and emergency equipment
Maintaining a log of all trips
Build and maintain relationships with employees across the Foundation
Work to ensure that all employees as well as official visitors to the region, receive a consistent level of service and care
Deliver safety and security briefings to passengers
Ensure Foundation vehicles are used appropriately and efficiently

Journey Management Planning and Execution

Conduct journey risk assessments
Develop journey management plans
Monitor routine and non-routine journeys
Coordinate assistance in the event of a road traffic incident
Have flexibility to work various hours and days depending on the needs of the business

Management of contract ground transportation providers

Ensure that external transportation providers meet the Foundation’s driving and journey management standards
Coordinate drivers by assigning them appropriate tasks
Provide training in the Foundations standards to contract drivers where required
Ensure all contractor trips are logged and billed correctly

WHO YOU ARE

Valid National Drivers’ License with an impeccable driving record
Formal advanced driving qualification
Strong communication skills in English; written and spoken, and ability to communicate in Kiswahili.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibiting grace under pressure.
Experience with professional security and/or personal security detail is preferred
Experience and interaction with high profile individuals is an asset
Experience with OGP Report 365 Land Transportation Recommended Practices is preferred
French language skills are an asset
Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.
