As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Salus, you are a skilled professional with a good understanding of software engineering principles and a proven ability to produce, identify, and explain high-quality, cloud-native infrastructure. You obsess about automation, and have extensive experience implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions. You have an in-depth understanding of Kubernetes, and proven experience running secure, scalable cloud-native architectures based on Kubernetes.

What you will be doing
Technical Mastery:
Demonstrate excellence in producing high-quality infrastructure and infrastructure code, applying theoretical knowledge, cloud-native approaches, and industry standards. You obsess over automation, and have extensive experience in writing infrastructure-as-code, CICD pipelines, all anchored in Kubernetes.

You work independently with minimal oversight, delivering impactful results and contributing to the team’s success.

Identify and address subtle but impactful problems, creating effective and innovative solutions.
Advocate for standardization and lead efforts for continuous technical improvements.

Efficiency and Technical Debt Management:
Identify areas for improvement, and advocate for management of technical debt. Understand the need for both fulfulling the user’s needs, but also ensure the stability, security and maintainability of the platform.
What you must have
At least five (5) years of experience in site reliability engineering
Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Microsoft Azure experience is a must.
Experience with Terraform, or an equivalent such as Pelumi, or Crossplane.
Extensive experience in Kubernetes. Designing, deploying and operating secure, scalable, and performant Kubernetes based infrastructure.
Extensive experience supporting service oriented architectures, in an event-driven fashion.
Experience in designing, deploying and operating secure, reliable, and performant Kubernetes based infrastructure. A deep understanding of Kubernetes is required for this role.
Experience in building modern CICD pipelines using toolsets such as Gitlab, Github, Tekton, Jenkins X.
