Senior Associate Lawyer

Job purpose:
As a result of rapid growth, Anjarwalla & Khanna is looking for Corporate lawyers to join its Corporate practice. This is an excellent opportunity to build unique skills and technical knowledge while gaining exposure to top quality work with a truly stellar client base.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Providing advice on all aspects of corporate governance and will represent corporations in structuring their initial capitalization and in ongoing corporate financing transactions utilizing a wide range of public and private debt and equity instruments;
Production, maintenance and circulation of legal newsletters.
Providing compliance training to the business;
Legislative and regulatory compliance tracking;
Company secretarial duties including statutory filings and maintenance of corporate registers;
Providing general legal advice including drafting and negotiating commercial contract;
Assisting with domestic corporate transactions – mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as equity investments;
Counselling businesses in connection with their ongoing contractual relationships with domestic and international customers, suppliers, and distributors;
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in law with a minimum of upper second class
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and under tight time deadlines;
Sound analytical and problem solving skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills:
5+ years’ experience in a busy corporate environment at a busy law Firm;
Qualified in either Kenya, UK or USA
