Senior Associate – Credit Administration

Purpose

The role is responsible for ensuring safe custody of the Bank’s security documents, monitoring, of securities movement and physical release of security documents to various stakeholders while adhering to dual custody and restricted movement to the strong room/Vault to always guarantee safety of the security documents. Additionally, it reviews and processes Business /Customer requests of Audit Confirmation Certificate; Interest certificate; Collateral release, reviews perfected securities, facilitates updates of collateral information in the core banking system.  Over and above that is the management of the Bank’s NTSA Portal  – facilitating joint registration, In-charge and discharge of new and used units.

Primary Responsibilities

The Incumbent will report to the Assistant General Manager-Credit Administration and will be responsible for;

Reviews of perfected securities against the executed letter of offer to confirm availability of documentation to facilitate update of collateral information in the core banking system.
Originate and process business and customer requests for collateral release, Audit, and Interest Certificates
Reviewing and processing of requests for withdrawal of liens on cash margin and /or Fixed deposit for paid up facilities, withdrawal of lien to pay off outstanding facilities, withdrawal of lien for administrative purposes or substitution of deposits.
Managing movement of security documents to and from the vault/strongroom while ensuring restricted documented access to only authorized persons as well as ensure timely filling and retrieval of security documents.
Safe custody and timely banking of postdated cheques held in bank’s custody to facilitate repayment of credit facilities.
Reviews and confirms legitimacy of logbook and registration particulars in line with the approved financing terms and NTSA standards.
Acceptance and/or decline of ownership online while monitoring the registration process and tracking completion of perfection for New and Used units.
Reviews and confirm proper registration of the jointly registered logbook.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized Institution

Work Experience

A least 5 years Banking experience with at least 3 years in Credit.
Knowledge of Credit and Operations Modules. Finacle 10 knowledge is preferred.
Proficiency in use of relevant MS Office application.
