Overview:
inSupply is searching for a Senior Analyst – Capacity Building, based in Nairobi and willing to travel in the region. The ideal candidate is passionate about instructional design and thinks deeply and creatively about holistic ways of building skills and competencies, and influencing behaviour change for continuously enhancing capacity and performance. S/he is interested and willing to learn about a variety of content areas including supply chains, health systems, monitoring, learning and evaluation, and market development. Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work independently to produce quality deliverables, manage work plans, teams and clients, and serve in a variety of roles as required by new and existing projects. Roles may vary widely and range from strongly technical to coordination and task management. Senior Analysts play multiple roles simultaneously depending on inSupply’s project portfolio and need.
Work collaboratively, influence and build relationships with clients and partners, including government institutions, non-governmental organizations, donors, and others to articulate their learning and capacity problems, collaboratively develop solutions and approaches for their implementation, execute activities, and monitor performance.
Support to develop and standardize inSupply’s capacity building and workforce development outputs by helping to co-create and institutionalize key processes and practices, and by modelling and mentoring the team in the key methods and tools that distinguish inSupply’s brand. These processes and practices include, but are not limited to, ensuring quality in the development of SOPs, curriculum, facilitators’ guides and learning and job support materials, and in the facilitation of workshops, training, and learning events.
Use a variety of instructional design techniques and strategies to develop custom/fit for purpose SOPs, curriculum and facilitators guides, and lead and/or facilitate trainings, working closely with content specialists across other inSupply domains and to support project deliverables, trainings and workshops.
Lead or support in translating content into digital training and learning materials for inSupply’s LMS and for external products aimed at continuous capacity building and improvement for health workers and clients.
Support the maintenance and updating of content in the inSupply LMS
Represent inSupply Health projects at key stakeholder fora, including participating in working groups and providing key linkage with partners on the ground to ensure support and sustainability. Give and attend debriefings and seminars, participate in conferences, and report on key information to other projects, domains and inSupply staff members.
Participate in routine technical calls and meetings with the team. Proactively and regularly communicate and coordinate with team members on the progress of domain and project activities, and provide detailed notes of all key stakeholder meetings. Communicate and disseminate information and reports to relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
Commit to and foster a work culture to promote innovation and continuous improvement, including integrating human centered design, continuous quality improvement, adaptive learning and other relevant approaches to test and refine existing tools, methodologies and strategies to guide our capacity building and workforce development improvement efforts.
Participate in new business development opportunities, which include marketing of inSupply Health to expand our client portfolio, generating demand for our services, developing content for pitches, concept notes and proposals, and proactively identifying opportunities for relevant regional partnerships, technical assistance and funding.
Participate in learning and embrace growth focused goal setting, be open-minded and willing to do the hard work of real learning and innovation.
With the supervision of the Senior Advisor, support in modelling inSupply’s culture, values, standards and critical behaviours to the team.
Proactively identify opportunities for knowledge management internally and externally to document and share processes, successes and lessons learned.
Mentor peers and junior staff.
Travel locally, regionally and internationally as needed to guide and support the implementation of organizational and project objectives and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, ICT, or a health-related field, a master’s degree is highly desired
Experience:
At least five years of work experience in global health or development, with a minimum of three years working in health systems.
Experience building relationships with a variety of partners working in both the private and public sector in Kenya and Tanzania is required. Experience working with such partners in other countries in the region is highly desirable.
Documented experience in designing and facilitating competency-based learning events including classroom style training, on-the-job training, online learning and blended learning/flipped classroom models of capacity building, based on instructional design best practices required.
Prior use of storyboarding for online learning creation is desirable.
Experience in using process facilitation techniques for meeting planning and facilitation desirable.
Experience with e-learning platforms and learning management systems required; familiarity with content creation systems such as Articulate Rise desirable.
Experience with client relationship management and partnerships with members of the international donor community, including bilateral and multilateral donor agencies and private foundations.
Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills, including the ability to energize, motivate, and support staff, consultants, advisors, and partners from different cultures and time zones.
A proven ability to work as a part of a team, but be self-managing of own time and results, and to be a proactive and clear communicator.
High levels of personal and professional ethics and integrity are required. Ability to assess and manage risks, and strong customer service skills are strongly preferred.
Excellent and proactive oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills (both analytical and problem-solving) and the ability to distill complex ideas into simple language. The ability to write concise, clear reports a strong requirement.
Ability to travel 40% time, locally, regionally, and internationally.
Ability to use cloud-based productivity, project management, and database apps — specifically Google Suite, Miro, Zoom, CRM platform, and Slack.
Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
