Senior Advisor, Health Systems and Sustainability(Global)

Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:

Deep understanding of health systems strengthening approaches in low- and middle-income countries including knowledge of key global priorities and networks.
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Services: Deep knowledge sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Setting vision and strategy: Proven ability to develop, drive and embed global strategy.
Global Health System: Deep knowledge of SRHR ecosystem within the global health and development context.
HSS experience: Demonstrated results in one or more of the six WHO building blocks of Health Systems Strengthening, with a focus on community systems.

Taking risks and innovating: Skilled at identifying and taking forward opportunities to increase scale, impact, quality and sustainability of HSS interventions.

Languages: Excellent verbal and written English skills is required. Proven writing and speaking skills in French is desirable.

Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality on work-related matters.

Minimally Required Education, Training and Experience:

At least 12 years’ experience as senior-level professional developing, managing, implementing and evaluating health systems strengthening programs at scale, ideally in area of service delivery and community-health systems improvement, with a minimum of (8) years’ experience in working in multiple sub-Saharan Africa countries.
A Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field.
Familiarity with multilateral and bilateral donors including USAID preferred.

Experience of working for an MOH at leadership and management level would be an asset.

Other Information:
