Senior Accountant – Asset Management

PURPOSE:

The Senior Accountant supports the Finance Manager by overseeing key financial operations, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves leadership responsibilities, budgeting, and process improvements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the preparation and analysis of the company’s financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
Prepare and present monthly management accounts for decision-making.
Coordinate the compilation, monitoring, and review of company-wide budgets.
Maintain and update the fixed assets register, ensuring accurate records.
Review and approve investment schedules, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Develop cash flow forecasts to support expenditure and investment planning.
Prepare and review general ledger support schedules monthly.
Regularly monitor expense ledgers to identify and resolve anomalies.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Academic and Professional Requirements

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.    E
 Professional Qualifications    CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification      E

Experience Required:

4–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial modelling.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques.
