You will conduct the day-to-day management of our Africa security under the leadership of the Director of Security EEMA. Working closely with the other members of the Firm Security team in locations across the world, you’ll work extensively with the Africa office and regional leadership teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this Africa-focused role, you will provide leadership & support for the firm’s activities in the region and take the lead on resolution of incidents in Africa.
You will also support incidents in other regions in line with our follow-the-sun incident management model.
You will support the resilience & physical security programs, assisting in the implementation and sometimes, the design of programs including travel security, event safety, study assurance and workplace security and safety to ensure they are safe for our colleagues and secure repositories for our clients’ confidences.
You’ll ensure our Africa offices are adequately prepared to respond to incidents, and that each office has all relevant resilience measures in place, including an up-to-date incident leadership plan and trained responders who can use the emergency broadcast system.
You will also act as peer counsellor to country and regional leadership on security issues, including in response to critical incidents and seeking buy-in for security programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of previous work experience in a security, crisis management or investigations role in a leadership capacity
International business exposure preferably in an African context
Exceptional & creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong team player
Excellent task tracking – able to drive projects from beginning to end
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Very strong written and verbal communication skills: strong drafting skills, good self-editing
Excellent command of English language, additional language skills are advantageous
Willingness to work flexible hours when incidents are in progress
