Sales & Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading vernacular radio station located in Nairobi is urgently seeking to hire an aggressive self-driven individual who will be tasked with selling advertising space and growing revenue and clientele base
Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your duties and responsibilities shall include:
Promote the company’s existing products and services, and introducing new products to the market
Preparing the annual marketing budget, scheduling expenditures and ensuring the sales team meets their monthly, quarterly and yearly set target.
Prepare weekly sales and marketing reports for submission to the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans while understanding audience and consumer needs.
Gathering, investigating and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports for senior management.
Oversee all advertising, publicity and brand management.
Liaise with line departments with regards to performance on production, delivery of services to customers, invoicing and receipting.
Implementing new sales and marketing plans
Provide management and leadership expertise to coordinate sales efforts
Ensure each sales representative performs as expected
Based on marketing reports and sales performance revise strategies accordingly on weekly basis and submit to the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Support and help sale representative to close on sales if required
Appraise the performance of the Marketing and Sales team members in consultation with the COO and CEO.
Oversee all customer inquiries and requests are appropriately responded to in a timely manner.
Support sales by giving presentations, following up on sales leads and creating special accounts
Develop professional close relations and maintain regular communication with reps, customers and internal staff
Lead on customer satisfaction surveys and report to management to inform on implications and future sales strategies.
Any other duties assigned by the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer

Required Qualifications

A Degree in Media Communication/Marketing or related fields
Previous relevant work experience required
At least 5-7 years of experience in the advertising field
Strong communication Skills
Ability to communicate with potential clients orally and in writing
Should able to convince prospective customers to subscribe to advert service
Negotiation Skills
Should have an eye for detail, and be able to identify the needs of a potential client as well as shift in industry trend.
