Sales & Marketing Executive Job Responsibilities
Perform sales and meet targets
Perform sales – office and field sales in and around Kenya and East Africa and hit the monthly targets provided
Increase our customer base – able to understand the customer needs, identify opportunities to increase sales to the customer and make sales to established customers
Collect market information on purchasing habit of customers and provide strategic leadership on new purchases that the company can make
Identify cost efficient strategies for the company and discover new suppliers and new products the company can venture into based on market intelligence and experience
Undertaking analysis to understand the companies spend analysis, opportunity identification, national/regional supply market analysis, alliances/panel/partnerships relationships and sourcing strategies
Identify new markets and customer bases to target
Debt collection
Stakeholder Management
Maintain constant liaison with existing and prospective suppliers and customers
Build last relationships with customers
Have good in person and phone etiquette
Represent the company at Trade shows/expos and increase exposure for the company
Oversee the maintenance and updating of supplier and import documents and folders as per the purchasing policies and procedures
Work closely and manage the sales team to understand customer feedback and the trends of products in the market
Marketing initiatives
Perform marketing initiatives such as managing the social media pages and the website and send mail outs
Assist the company in developing marketing collateral, product catalogues and price lists
Develop marketing campaigns for email marketing and flyers – highly preferred
Other Office duties
Perform tasks around the office
Participate in quarterly stock takes and be comfortable handling data on excel
Any other duties given to the Executive should be done with a positive mindset and willingness to learn
Requirements for the Sales & Marketing Executive Job
At least a Bachelors degree in business, marketing, procurement or sales or equivalent diploma qualification
Min 1-3 years work experience
Good interpersonal skills, teamwork and communication skills written and verbal
Willingness to learn
Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in ambiguous environment
Good reporting and analytical skills
Good negotiation skills
Proactive attitude – go-getter and a mindset to get things done
Competent at all Microsoft suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – excel analytics skills will be highly preferred
Marketing experience is a bonus and knowledge of social media marketing is preferred
Experience dealing with suppliers is added value and bonus
Experience writing tenders is added value and bonus
