Reporting to the Manager, Ancillaries & Holidays, the ideal candidate will be tasked with identifying new methods to increase sales productivity, revenue generation through high sales performance and effective sales promotions in the ancillaries and holidays section across in KQ’s network.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Analyzing sales performance, identifying the gaps and rolling out long and short-term plans to meet Ancillaries and Holidays revenue objectives for the KQ network.
Understanding the different market segments and customizing products and services to cater for the needs of specific target audiences.
Exploiting identified market opportunities to achieve desired revenue growth.
Supporting product development and identifying new business opportunities.
Distributing assignments, areas of responsibility and targets to the sales executives.
Managing team performance towards meeting set annual goals and targets.
Managing and supervising marketing and selling activities for the Ancillaries and KQ Holidays products and ensure good knowledge in various markets whilst securing new sources of revenue.
Working cross functionally and participating in meetings with Revenue Management, Regional sales, Ground services and Marketing towards meeting overall company goals and attaining improvements for the business and excellent customer experience.
Participating in the preparation of revenue budgets to ensure company needs are marched with global sales reality.
Coaching the team with a view to continuous improvement using performance management and training to achieve set targets.
Ensuring effective account management i.e. setting smart objectives, planning and reporting.
University Degree in a business-related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in a Business Development role
At least 2 years’ experience of commercial airline experience in a sales environment
Able to demonstrate record of revenue deliverables
Proficiency in MS office, Internet, Databases
Demonstrated knowledge of airline procedures and distribution systems
Must have strong negotiating, influencing, problem solving and decision-making skills
Posses self- drive, self-motivation and passion for customer service
Self-confident and results oriented
Diplomacy and empathy
Must demonstrate flexibility and innovativeness.
Analytical with ability to prioritize
Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
