This is a highly rewarding role for an aggressive sales professional to grow Odyssey Capitals’ market share and revenue through team management, strategic planning and implementation. A successful candidate will be accountable for achieving the bulk of the organisation’s sales targets through direct sales to individuals and businesses. They will also become a thought leader and implementer of processes and systems that Odyssey Capital will use to build and manage sales.
The right person for this role will further expand their department through strategic planning and mentorship of a sales team. This role will give the incumbent the opportunity to be a part of the organizations strategic big-picture discussion.
Detailed Responsibilities:

KPI’s: Generating, meeting and exceeding set targets for the sales team to effectively pushing lead generation initiatives, monitoring customer relations and fostering deal closure.
Sales: Supporting the sales team to close deals and manage account progression internally to reduce customer drop off rates.
Strategy:
Developing the sales department through defining the processes and the systems used by the department.
Analysing existing clients to identify gaps and sales opportunities; developing strategies to cross sell and up-sell.
Leadership: Growing and developing the sales team. Coaching and mentoring of team members to upskill the team.
Project Management:
Coordinating field based teams and prioritizing targets.
Collaborating with the Business Development team to close with investors.
Financial Tracking and Planning: Monitoring, consolidating and reporting on sales directly to senior management – CEO.

A day in the Life

Monitor sales revenue on dashboards to track progress and spot issues/gaps.
Liaise with internal departments e.g. Credit, HR and Business Development.
Supporting the field sales team to close deals with clients.
Develop and adjust sales plans to boost revenue generation efforts

Does this sound like you?

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Diploma holders with vast Sales management experience will also be considered
5+ years of sales experience with a minimum of 3 years as a sales team leader. With an impressive track record in sealing the deal.
Sales experience in a niche market or are eager to spearhead innovative strategies to sell a ‘one of it’s kind’ service in the market.
Strong analytical skills capable of managing and interpreting data to inform future growth.
Demonstrated leadership with strong training, coaching, and motivational skills.
Ever professional capable of making the right impression and are always focused on delivering, but, you know how to relate with your team and various department heads
