.Job Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of independent commission-based sales agents that will be scaled to 1000+ agents within 12 months, ensuring they meet acquisition targets, adhere to company policies, and maintain ethical sales practices.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive performance, manage administrative processes, and mitigate fraud risks while optimizing sales efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Target Management
Set acquisition targets for commission-only sales agents and monitor performance to ensure goals are met.
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive agent productivity and efficiency.
Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
Team Oversight & Administrative Management
Oversee all aspects of administrative work related to the sales team, ensuring smooth operations.
Develop processes for tracking agent performance, commission payments, and other key sales metrics.
Manage onboarding and training programs to ensure agents are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
Incentive & Expense Management
Calculate agent commissions and transport allowances based on performance.
Seek necessary approvals for incentives and ensure timely payments.
Continuously review and refine incentive structures to maintain motivation and retention.
Route Mapping & Field Operations
Oversee route mapping to maximize market coverage and efficiency.
Assign sales territories and optimize field strategies to reach target customers.
Work with agents to address operational challenges and improve execution.
Fraud Monitoring & Compliance
Implement and enforce policies to detect and prevent fraudulent sales activities.
Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure integrity within the sales team.
Take corrective action against non-compliance and report any incidents to leadership.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management, preferably within fintech,
microfinance, or related industries.
Proven track record of managing and motivating commission-based sales teams.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with experience in setting and monitoring sales KPIs.
Excellent organizational and administrative abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to develop and enforce fraud prevention measures.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in field sales, route planning, and operational strategy is an added advantage.
