Reporting to the Country Manager, your role will be to prospect, develop and grow the client portfolio. You will be in charge of developing an optimal commercial proposal, adapting it to the customer’s needs, managing the negotiation phase and concluding sales to achieve the objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
Conduct prospecting missions: identify potential customers and their contacts, and identify potential partners.
Create relationships with the various customer contacts (decision makers, influencers, purchasers etc)
Identify the regulatory framework of the target market.
Determine each customer’s short- and long-term needs from a functional, technical and financial perspective.
Identify competitors and their customer positioning.
Prepare offers that meet the customer’s needs by coordinating the various internal players (product managers, industrialists, lawyers, financiers, etc.).
Pitch product offerings to customers, negotiate contracts and/or orders and close sales.
Key account management.
Sales pipeline management and reporting.
Forecast order intake, revenue and delivery quantities for all your customers.
Skills and experience:
An engineering background with a specialization in at least one of the following fields: telecommunications, networks, system, electrical engineering or electronics.
At least 8 years’ experience in technical sales.
People and project management skills.
Experience compiling bids and managing tenders.
Strong existing relationships with telecom operators, procuring government entities and commercial & industrial customers an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong initiative.
Ability to work in a lean environment under minimal supervision.
Strong commercial acumen.
Ability to speak French is an added advantage.
Ability to travel both locally and internationally.
