JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Executive will be responsible for achieving set sales targets and objectives. S/he will support the creation of brand visibility while managing customer relationships and driving customer retention. S/he will sell company services while ensuring the organization is meeting customer needs while obtaining orders from existing or potential customers. S/he will also act as a brand ambassador, growing brand awareness and ensuring the brand is visible across Tanzania.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in brainstorming and implementation of new sales initiatives
Maintain an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline
Manage the end –end sales process to achieve set sales targets
Prospect for new business
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and contacts in existing and new customer accounts
Support in elevating the company’s brand visibility
Attract new clients by innovating the sales process for the business
Work with internal team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent sales growth
Identify and research opportunities that come up in new and existing markets
Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new customers
Communicate with customers to understand their needs and offer solutions to match these needs as available
Create positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential customers
Continuously research new business opportunities and find new customers
Quickly establish solid relationships with other staff and ensure internal synergy by adhering to set service level agreements(SLA’s)while monitoring costs, quality and timelines
Provide regular reporting on the performance of your work area daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and as may be required
Drive operational efficiency through management of assigned budgets and ensure cost containment practices are in place
Support in determining pricing for quotations
Conduct market surveys with support from management
Negotiate contracts with potential clients.
Any other duties as required by your line manager.
SKILLS EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, economics, Commerce, Business Management, Customer Service or any other related field from a recognized institution of learning.
At least three (3) years working experience as a Sales Executive in a logistics and freight set-up or similar role in a busy environment handling client relationships, closing deals and contracting
Proven ability to meet sales targets
Must have basic understanding of different market dynamics to drive a growing business
Assertive with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations
A skilled negotiator who understands the importance of communicating both good and difficult news to partners expeditiously in order to capitalize on time and opportunity and create success out of both situations
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Presentable
Fluent in English and Kiswahili
Experience in insurance management will be an added advantage.
