Job Description
Our client, a business enterprise in the home solutions space, is looking for a retail team lead. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail department for their home cyber security and heating solutions. This role will provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members to ensure excellent customer service, achieve sales targets, and maintain operational efficiency.
We are looking for a self-driven person that can be able to strategize, plan and follow through without supervision. This person must have the agility to adapt to changing market trends to ensure targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue Growth
Work closely with the retail partners to develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the distributor’s retail footprint.
Monitor sales performance and provide feedback and support to team members to meet or exceed sales targets.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products to maximize sales opportunities
Set a high standard for customer service & resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective merchandising strategies and promotional campaigns.
Ensure optimal product placement and visibility in retail stores to maximize sales opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners to drive mutual business growth.
Team Leadership, Training and Development
Lead, motivate, and coach retail team members to achieve individual and team goals.
Train team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer interaction skills.
Provide ongoing coaching and encourage continuous learning and professional development among team members.
Inventory Management & Operation Efficiency
Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving shipments, restocking, and conducting regular stock checks.
Collaborate with the partner retailers to implement strategies for improving inventory turnover.
Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Conduct regular audits of operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics, including sales figures, customer feedback, and inventory levels.
Communicate effectively with retail partners and other team members to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
Act as a liaison between the retail team and other departments within the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales, with a proven track record of leadership and team management, 4+ years of experience is preferred
Previous experience working with distributors in the retail industry would be an added advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
Familiarity with POS systems and other retail software applications.
Business related degree
