Q-Commerce is a new business unit inside Glovo which includes all types of Supermarkets, to Pharmacies and Shops such as electronics, pharmacies, beauty, flowers, toys, video games.
We are currently building a strong local team in order to re-invent how consumers buy retail, making it more convenient and easy than ever before.
BE A PART OF A TEAM WHERE YOU WILL:
Own and manage Retail business in Kenya: P&L, Operations, Strategy and Team.
Define the long term Retail strategy for Kenya
Translate long term strategy into actionable tasks and ensure adherence to business plan
Setup and scale operational processes and frameworks for category management, operations, and other functional areas in the market
Be the owner of Business Unit P&L
Manage and develop a high performing team
Acquire and develop the business of the most relevant retail partners in the market
Collaborate with a cross-functional team (marketing, operations, finance…) to achieve quick and flawless execution
Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference
YOU HAVE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, e-commerce or FMCG.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with exposure to senior partners and cross-functional teams.
Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach to issues
Balance attention to detail with swift execution – we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
Full proficiency in English is required
Grittiness, never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
