Job Responsibilities
Managing the floor and having sectional meetings with service staff
Leadership and training of new staff and trainees
Ensuring Stock take is done appropriately
Monitor cutlery & crockery and avoiding any breakages or losses
Check the restaurant for anything broken or that needs maintenance e.g blown light bulbs and report to the maintenance team
Assisting on the floor during busy shifts
Place orders and inspect stock on delivery
Oversee preparation of the restaurant set up and the guests sitting area
Ensuring smooth operations
Conducts shift meetings with team members on a regular basis
Ensure operational standards and customer service are implemented in the restaurant. Conduct opening and closing tasks as well as mid morning inspections.
Conducts weekly evaluations and action plans
Assist the Assistant Manager in managing Restaurant stock level according to laid down procedure (ordering, receiving, stock control and stock takes)
Motivates and develop team members
Provide on job coaching and mentoring of crew to ensure desired skill levels
Interfaces with customers and resolve queries
Ensure a friendly and hospitable restaurant atmosphere; leads by example
Supervises and ensures Bar controls, coffee and other drinks controls ensuring our quality and standards are maintained.
Accountabilities
Maintain professionalism with staff and customers at all times
Ensures customers clear their bills before they leave
Ensures service delivery is efficient at all times and to all customers
Any other duty which may be assigned to you by the assistant manager from time to time
