Duties and responsibilities
In conjunction with the Secretary General, you are responsible for generating financial and non financial resource for ITF. This requires you to:
Identify and prepare grant proposal and or other fundraising strategies for designed projects or office expenses.
develop funds generation and resource mobilization Work Plan and constantly follow-up the implementation of the plan.
Maintain engagement with existing supporters, ensuring they are aware of projects that are underway, the impact they are having, and the financial transparency of all processes. This engagement will occur through personalized emails before and after projects, and in lengthier reports.
Extend the supporter base through structured fundraising appeals.
mobilize non-financial resources from private sectors entities, individuals and corporate agencies.
Coordinate processing of agreements in connection with funding opportunities and ensure effective and timely follow-up in terms of submission of reports to the donors and grant renewal proposals.
Monitor donor reporting and grant expenditure deadlines and coordinate in responding to these deadlines while facilitating and participating in the preparation of quality financial and narrative reports to donors.
contribute to the production of the ITF Newsletter and distribution to donors particularly highlighting funds generated and resources mobilized.
Ensure that fundraising and resource mobilization information are up to date.
Improve your and ITF’s understanding of fundraising strategies by looking to the practices of larger non-profit organizations and conducting independent research online.
Qualifications
Hold at least a Diploma in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Graphic Design & Video Editing and other related fields
Possess knowledge in current issues and best practices relating to international youth development;
Ability to come up with creative ideas and content for communication and promotional materials, fundraising, identify potential opportunities for raising funds and write grant proposals,
Have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing (minimally in English),
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to work with individuals from different cultures
Possess basic computer skills including graphic communication and social media management
Ability to maintain an established work schedule, with or without flexibility,
Strong organizational and management skills- ability to multitask and prioritize,
Motivated to learn and take on new challenges’
