Research Economist Manager, Cash Management Sales

Job Purpose Statement

To provide analytical support to the Bank to inform timely decision-making. The occupant of this role will work closely with various internal parties to provide up to date, industry leading research on economic developments including country-specific economic developments, monetary, fiscal, exchange rate policies among other issues. The role will entail conducting regional macro-economic research with specific recommendations to the Bank’s Global Markets, Assets and Liability Committee, NCBA Investment Bank, Finance, Corporate and Retail department, Credit committees and NCBA clients.

Macroeconomic modelling and subsequent forecasts.

Job Specifications

Academic:

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or equivalent. Master’s degree in Economics preferred.

Professional:

Practical experience in use of MS Office applications.
Practical experience in use of Statistical software.
Practical experience in use of Econometric software.
Practical experience in financial modelling.

Desired work experience:

At least 3 years’ experience in Statistical and Predictive analysis.
Strong quantitative background with experience in equities, fixed income and economic modelling.
