Moringa School is seeking a Research and Development consultant skilled in conducting thorough research, assessing market demands, and providing clear, prioritized strategic product recommendations. This is a 3 month engagement with the opportunity for extension based on performance and project needs.
Responsibilities
Develop a structured methodology for evaluating potential new courses focusing on market demand and student outcomes.
Conduct job scraping activities to gather data on job postings, skills requirements, and hiring trends across various technology sectors.
Organize and facilitate focus groups with industry professionals, hiring managers, and alumni to gather qualitative insights into skill gaps, training needs, and employer expectations.
Design and administer surveys to employers and industry stakeholders to collect quantitative data on hiring preferences, skill requirements, and emerging technology trends.
Analyze job market data, labor market reports, focus group findings, and survey results to identify emerging trends, in-demand skills, and growth areas in the technology industry.
Create a prioritized list of courses based on research findings and Moringa’s strategic objectives and industry alignment.
Present recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior management, to gain buy-in and support for proposed course launches.
Key Outcomes
Industry Needs Report: Deliver a comprehensive report detailing the current and projected needs of the upskilling industry, supported by thorough research and analysis of market demands
Prioritized Course Recommendations Document: Produce a concise document outlining prioritized recommendations for new course offerings for Moringa School. Each recommendation should be justified based on its alignment with industry needs and potential impact.
Student Outcome Plan: Deliver a plan outlining employability options and career advancement opportunities for each recommended course.
Predictive Analysis Report: Generate a report forecasting future industry trends and anticipated course outcomes. This report will inform strategic decision-making and ensure Moringa remains competitive and relevant in the evolving upskilling landscape.
Who You Are
10+ years in R&D roles, with a focus on the upskilling and learning and development space
Proficient in data analysis
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage senior industry executives
