Responsibilities
Support focused group discussions and key informant interviews as required by the research management
Obtain informed consent from study participants, and carry out study interviews as per the study guidelines
Travel to field sites to conduct interviews for the identified study participants in targeted counties
Maintain highest standards for protection/management of data per study guidelines
Daily communication with the research team lead
Assist team with resolution of any queries related to data collected during interviews
Support transcription of the qualitative data collected through recordings
Support any other research support duties relating to the study as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications
Degree in public health, sociology, community health, social science or any other related qualification
Experience with community-based research for public health or clinical studies preferred
At least 2 years’ hands on experience and training in conducting surveys, FGDs, IDIs and KIIs
Knowledge and experience in use of electronic data collection software is an added advantage
Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow study-specific procedures and guidelines reliably
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English and Swahili
Computer literacy, particularly in the use of MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
