Regulatory Assistant

Role Summary

Provide routine technical and administrative support to the Regulatory Science & Government Affairs team in preparing submissions, data management and control over ordering of trial samples.  Support Product Development team in developing GAPs, trial protocols and efficacy trial monitoring.

Role Responsibilities

Preparing dossiers/documents for product registration by the relevant authorities in the region.
Updating the registration database (REGONE) and archiving documentation in company database.
Updating and reviewing registration documentation based on authorities’ feedback.
Monitoring legislative changes at the national and international levels but especially with the relevant region.
Ensuring compliance and implementation of the legislative requirements.
Label development as per the country needs.
Checking product documentation including labels, SDS, advertising materials, and texts.
Ensuring the preparation and evaluation of analyses.
Communicating with Regulatory authorities, State institutions but also other departments within the company.
Samples – requests, tracking & import permits, export permits/certificate applications.
Assist with Labels, SDS to be always the latest available on a shared file with marketing, supply chain, commercial, on the website and to send/reply when requested.
Provide regular regulatory update reports of projects under development.
Any other regulatory task assigned by management

Internal Stakeholders

Regulatory teams: Coordinate and foster teamwork by knowledge sharing and offering technical support.
Development teams: Assist with development of GAPs, trial protocols and efficacy trial monitoring.
Marketing: Assist with import permits and samples for demo trials.  Share labels and SDS’s when required.
Supply chain: Issuing of labels, SDS and support on compliance.
Global Sampling Team: Liaise with respective teams to avail samples to respective countries.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or agriculture or other related science.
Good knowledge of EAC region agrochemical registration procedures and requirements.
Advanced PC skills with experience using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working in a solution driven environment requires a self-motivated and persistent individual with a high level of creativity to work towards fact-based problem solving.
Two to three years of experience in individual or team orientated projects in a science-based environment.
