Regional Sales Account Manager

Job Description
The Regional Sales Accounts Manager will be responsible for the following:
 

Selling products by implementing national sales plans.
Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company’s customer base, foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace, and forming sales strategies to keep the company competitive and innovative.
Providing recommendations on alternative product strategies.
Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and Account Managers.
Projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products.
Implementing sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
Implementing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.
Achieving and preferably exceeding annual sales targets within the assigned territory and accounts.
Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring the commercials.
Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in your industry.
Partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
Supporting sales in developing and reviewing proposals templates and customising QA final proposals, in addition to owning and being responsible for customers post sale.
Coordinating user group meetings to raise product awareness and achieve other marketing goals.
Updating customers on products development and enhancements.
Reporting customer requirements and product successes/failures to the team.
Overseeing and managing a large team of Account Managers, meeting with the Account Managers on a daily basis to assess go-to-market activities and performance against KP I’s, completing sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results.
Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
Maintaining sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintaining sales staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
Presenting sales results to the HQ on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Ensuring the sales team has an effective sales and product training.
Ensuring the CRM is being used effectively and provides a competitive advantage.
Maintaining the security of the information, devices and systems, and its personnel, customers and partners use.
Protects business information and any customer, supplier or partner information within its custody by safeguarding its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Adhering to and complying with internal security policies, Code of Ethics, Non-Disclosure Policy, Non-Compete Policy, Email Policy, Proprietary Rights Acknowledgement, Background Check Policy, and all other internal policies and employee handbook.
Participating in company’s wide initiatives.

The Successful Applicant
We are looking for the following in a candidate:

Must currently reside in Kenya
Bachelor degree in Management, Sales, Marketing, IT, Computer Engineering, or Finance.
Minimum 10 years experience in the sales of software applications (preferably banking applications).
Extremely well informed about the market of East Africa.
Proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Understanding of payments industry, compliance and risk management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.
Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
CAMS certification is a plus.
