What Are Our Requirements?
In this intake we are looking for 7 highly motivated and intelligent graduates from the following disciplines:

Bachelor of Science – Mechanical/Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering
Bachelor of Science – Information Technology
Bachelor of Science – Geology
Bachelor of Science – Mining & Mineral Processing Engineering
Bachelor of Science – Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Science
Bachelor of Science – Water & Environmental Engineering/Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering
To be considered applicants must:
Have graduated with a relevant and recognized degree within the last one year and/or be due to graduate in
2022
Have (or be on track to) an Upper 2nd class honors or higher
Be a Kenyan citizen
Be able to produce verified transcripts
What you must do to be considered:

Training / Education required
Three-to-four years’ education at a University or other specialized higher education establishment in engineering, general information technology, computerscience and project management.
Experience required

At least three years’ experience in the areas mentioned in the job description and in the business requirement analysis. Ten years’ experience in the area is required if the post holder does not have the required level of education.
 5 years within Information Systems unit or dealing with IT Users’ requirements is highly desirable.
General information technology and microcomputer knowledge.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, industry standards and practices concerning networking, business process, encryption, messaging, web protocols, operating systems,
authentication, micro-computer environment and peripherals (printer, scanner,…), Local Area Network, Ethernet/IP and internet technologies and main protocols, Operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX,…), telephony, ToIP, VoiP, Internet Services Providers….
Knowledge in security technology will be a plus.

Good leadership and negotiation skills, energy, tenacity
Strong communication and analytical skills with experience of working in an international multicultural environment
Analytical and deductive approach
Ability to work independently and under pressure

Languages

Professional fluency in English is required.
Working knowledge of French would be a great asset.
Working knowledge in any of the other official working languages of the Organization (Arabic, or Spanish) would be an additional asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Remuneration for appointment on contract: Salary scales of all duty stations of INTERPOL can be found at
https://www.interpol.int/What-you-can-do/Careers/Vacancies. The starting point is step 1 and one additional step will
be granted for every 3 years of fully relevant experience. The salary scales of INTERPOL’s officials are adjusted at least
once per year (more under exceptional circumstances) on the basis of the methodology used for the calculation of the
Purchase Power Parity (PPP).

The incumbent may occasionally be required to work occasional overtime based upon workload and to go on missions.
