Regional Business Lead – East Africa

Responsibilities:
Responsible for growth and customer retention and account management in East Africa.
Success measured by growth in revenue, net sales and net installs in strategic customer segments in their region.
Responsible for growing and managing senior level relationships in the public and private sector in their region
Responsible for oversight and management of debt in East Africa to defined targets.
Directly responsible for government accounts in their region.  
Drive consistent and excellent customer experience in the region across multiple groups and all aspects of the customer journey.
Be the voice of the customer and the region back into the core business and other geographies, providing feedback on trends, challenges and opportunities, and prioritizing customer content, functionality and resource needs.
Promote the company brand and value proposition in the financial, corporate and government communities within the region.
Support the major accounts, new business, sales specialists, sales operations, technical account management and service teams, and other subsidiary businesses across the region by sharing customer leads, needs and relationships as required to drive the success and profitability of all business units.
Develop a high performing team of account managers and client specialists in the region, and ensure alignment of other virtual team members towards the common goals of the business.
 Qualifications and Requirements: Educated to Degree level preferable complete at a global location other than Kenya.
International work experience would be an advantage.  
Minimum of five years relevant work experience within a similar organization.
Demonstrated success in a sales, account management, client specialist or customer service role is essential.
Ability and proven experience in networking at C-Level throughout East Africa.
Prior management experience with proven skill in managing a team successfully – in person and remotely.
Relevant experience in East Africa and a strong network of contacts within the region is strongly preferred.
Excellent understanding of the company’s value proposition.
Ability to build business relationship with clients at all levels.
Excellent problem solving skills – ability to handle / turn around difficult situations including cancels, competition, debt issues, people issues etc.
Previous experience in doing business development locally as well as internationally with a proven track record of business achievement.
