Regional Business Development Officer – Life (Coast & North Eastern) Branch Tender Documentation Officer

PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the position holder will be responsible for driving the growth of life insurance business in the Coast and North Eastern regions. It will also involve developing and managing strong relationships with intermediaries, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders to achieve business targets and enhance market presence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new Group Life business opportunities within the region.
Increased Group Life business sales and market share in the Coast region.
Sustained organic growth and improved retention rates.

Intermediary Engagement:

Enhanced intermediary engagement and activation, reducing dormancy rates.
Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and other intermediaries.
Capacity Building:Conduct training sessions to enhance intermediaries’ understanding of Group Life products and solutions.
Performance Monitoring:Track and report on intermediary activity, business performance, and growth metrics.
Strategic Alliances:Foster partnerships with key stakeholders in high-potential economic sectors.
Market Intelligence:Gather insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behavioural Competencies
Academic and Professional Requirements

Education    Bachelor’s Degree    Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Professional Qualification    Additional qualification in insurance, sales and marketing will be an added advantage.

Experience Required:

Two years Minimum Relevant experience
