Radio Sonographer- Kakamega

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of effective, efficient, and quality imaging (Ultrasound and Xray) services in the hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive, process, undertake initial patient evaluation and provide diagnostic radiographs.
Perform, provide findings on ultrasound and Doppler examinations by capturing images of diagnostic value.
Ensure radiation safety measures and protection are observed to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety for patients, staff, and self.
Ensure scheduled maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment are in place and followed.
Ensure accurate documentation and care of patients’ records.

The requirements

Higher National Diploma in Ultrasound from a recognized institution.
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority.
Member of professional body preferably SORK.
 Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
 Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
