Quality Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quality Surveyor to ensure that construction projects adhere to established quality standards and regulations. The role involves conducting thorough inspections, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with project teams to maintain high-quality construction practices.

Responsibilities

Preparation of the company’s QS manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
Control and distribution of all the company’s quality documentation.
Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management.
Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and sub-contractor documentation submittals.
Review the work of sub-contractors and issue the NCR for internal noncompliance and site observations to sub-contractors and the site construction team.
Develop the method statement for construction works on site and review the method statement from time to time prior to starting the work on site.
Attend client quality management meetings.
 Preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
Review quality inspection, personnel qualifications, and training requirements.
Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
Preparation of bills of quantities.
Raising of monthly valuations.
Conducting Financial / measurements appraisal.
Valuation of variations.
Management of Contractual correspondences
Compilation of contemporary records 
Building up of unit rates
Measure and prepare payment certificates for subcontractors
Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers
Forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
Track changes to the design and construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation.

Qualifications

Degree or higher diploma in Building Economics and Quality Survey
At least a degree with 7 years of experience or a Diploma with 10 years of experience
Must be a registered member of BORAQS & IQSK
Experience on construction site is mandatory
Experience managing construction budgets
Impressive numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role.
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Competence

A thorough technical understanding of building construction methods
Prior exposure and experience in supervising construction works and inventory management
Possess business etiquette with a strong work ethic, high level of honesty/integrity, results-oriented, ability to deliver under pressure
Ability to read architectural drawings and have an appreciation of construction processes
Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment or with colleagues from different backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing environment
Good Organizational and Planning skills
