Analyze all W.I.P. product samples daily for quality, durability, safety and known product specifications before the final stage of production and record Quality inspection results.
To verify quality of raw materials, in-process and finished product against specifications.
Identify and liaise with production for the segregation of non-conforming products at the production lines then update on daily log sheets and other process documents.
Observe finished goods handling and identify practices likely to cause damage to the product.
Inspects transport vessels (trucks and containers) to ascertain their condition prior to loading/stuffing with Finished goods.
Verify proper documentation of all products before dispatch.
Perform housekeeping in line with Gemba Kaizen Principles.
Give timely feedback to production on quality inspection results and propose improvements to the production process.
Update Quality Management Database e.g., SAP with inline process inspection, incoming material inputs.
Training the production Team on Quality Control measures to improve product excellence.
Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard by reporting any that does not meet requirement.
Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities (toolbox talks) and regular training.
Checking that the assembly or production lines adhere to standards and procedures and comply with legal requirements.
Perform incoming material inspection, review blueprints and specifications to compare produced goods.
Document quality assurance practices by entering data into log sheets, noting information in computer databases, and recording all inventory and actions.
Inspecting output samples using companies- PROTO- Methods like comparing to standards, measurement dimensions and examining functionalities at place – LAB.
Perform any other duty as assigned by the Supervisor and Management.
Qualifications
Technical College Diploma, or University Technical Degree
3 years minimum experience in the same role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge in interpretation of process data.
Knowledge of maintaining and calibrating Laboratory equipment.
Knowledge in evaluating inline inspection data and advise Manufacturing/Filling for areas of improvement.
Should be able to advise Manufacturing/Filling on corrective actions measures on defects captured.
Physical stamina and strength with ability to stand for long hours along process inspection.
Certifications; ISO, TQMS, OSH, FIRST-AID is an added advantage.
Licenses; RT.
