Key duties and responsibilities
Check and inspect raw materials at the point of delivery in order to ascertain that they meet the required specifications.
Check and confirm that the raw materials used in the production plan conforms to the APR in order to guarantee the quality of the finished products.
Regularly monitor the in-process parameters during production to ensure conformity to the established standards.
Check the quality of the manufactured products to ensure conformity to the established quality specifications.
Carry out regular quality tests for manufactured products to ensure conformity to the established functionality standards.
Prepare daily quality analysis reports in a timely manner in line with requirements.
Monitor and carry out daily checks to ensure compliance to health and safety and environmental guidelines in the company.
Carry out internal audits for quality management system (QMS) to assess compliance to QMS.
Receive and resolve quality related customer complains in consultation with other user departments in order to ensure timely closure.
Develop the specifications for color shades diversification in line with the product diversification requirements.
Any other work that may be assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.
Working relationships
Internal Relationships:
The Quality Inspector will be:
Directly accountable to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Required to work with production team.
External Relationships:
Suppliers of raw materials
Regulatory Authorities in matters related to quality and environmental management
Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Applied Science or any other science related fields.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality assurance preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Must be a trained and qualified ISO Quality Systems implementer and auditor.
Gemma Kaizen training would be an added advantage.
Experience in the construction industry would be highly desirable.
