Quality Assurance Manager

Food Safety Management System:

Develop, implement, and maintain the factory’s Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Regularly review and update quality control procedures, standards, and specifications.
Ensure compliance to TACCPs, VACCPs, HACCP, SOPs and Regulatory programmes.

Product Quality Assurance:

Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

Inspection and Testing:

Oversee and manage the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Develop and maintain inspection criteria and test methods.

Compliance and Audits:

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards (e.g., OHS, KEPHIS, KEBs, AFA, FDA, FSSC, ISO).
Prepare for and manage internal and external audits.
Maintain documentation and records required for compliance and audits.

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to quality assurance staff.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement solutions to enhance product quality.
Lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Customer Satisfaction:

Address customer complaints and concerns regarding product quality.
Work with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and present reports on quality performance, trends, and issues to senior management.
Maintain detailed records of quality control activities and findings.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food processing industry.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.
Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g. and not limited to ISO, FSSC).
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

      Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field.
Certification in Quality Management
Experience with macadamia nut processing or similar food products.
