Role Purpose
You will work with the Property Operations and Development leadership to develop a Quality Management Framework and ensure that ongoing and complete works meet the design and quality requirements as per the framework. You will continuously monitor project works to capture, report, and address any quality issues.
 
Key Responsibilities

Leverage your understanding of purpose-built housing and design to assess, review and interpret building drawings and blueprints for projects at the design stage.

Design an efficient design protocol that can be adopted for all development projects.

Inspect work in progress and or complete work to determine whether the work meets design and quality specifications with respect to space efficiency and functionality, capital cost efficiency, and aesthetics.

Monitor overall construction performance regarding technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.

Document the quality inspection processes for different aspects, including detailed reports and performance records, especially reports on work that does not meet requirements.

Act as liaison between Construction, Project Management, and Property Operations teams ensuring appropriate flow of information to facilitate efficient communication and implementation of methodology and approaches that drive quality.

Recommend improvement measures to the development process to ensure quality control standards are met with due cognizance of the implication on time and cost.

Inspect, test, or measure construction materials and products being used for projects to assure quality and life cycle cost optimization, including visits and inspections of supplier facilities.

Own and drive the handover process for complete projects from development to Property Operations.

 
Your Profile

Degree or Diploma in Construction Engineering Management, Quantity Survey & Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in construction.

Tech Savvy (MS Office, AUTOCAD, and other relevant up-to-date technologies).

Knowledge and experience in construction-based quality control, inspector of works, ISO quality standards, etc – would be an added advantage.

Training in Health & Safety will be an added advantage.

A keen eye for detail.

Good understanding of building plans, schematics, and blueprints as well as the ability to interpret them.

Ability to recognize and report potential challenges.

Excellent communication & organizational skills.

Excellent report writing.
