What You Will Do
Lead new grant applications, and coordinate the overall proposal writing process, whilst utilizing input from our Government, Operations, Finance and other teams
Create high quality reports for our current partners, including progress on project implementation, success field stories, and updates on agreed KPIs.
Support the Partnerships team with management of internal CRM and general process management.
Conduct research to identify prospective donors including bilateral/multilateral donors, foundations, individuals, and others.
Arrange and host field visits for donors and other partners across Kenya, being able to act as EIDU’s representative and answer their program questions (on an as-needed basis).
What You Should Bring
At least 2+ years of direct experience in fundraising (required), ideally more.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English (required).
Familiarity with numbers, budgets and spreadsheets (Excel) (required).
Experience in the education sector and familiarity with key concepts and players in this space (required).
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with people at all levels of the organisation and from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to work in a start-up environment navigating complex and fast-changing circumstances.
Highly organised person with strong attention to detail and process management skills.
Ability to work reliably and strive for end-to-end project ownership.
The desire to use your skills to bring about positive social change for underprivileged children.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, NGO Management, International Relations or Communications) is an advantage.
