Project Officer Construction & Engineering Work Force Planner- Contact Center

Our client in the manufacturing industry seeks to hire a well experienced and hands-on Project Officer. He will be tasked to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications). The Project Officer is also responsible for allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful team.
Roles and Responsibilities

Project planning

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with the Managing Director.
Interpret and actualize project design and specifications.
Develop and manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Identify resource requirements for tasks and projects
Assist in formulating project budget with the Managing Director
Proactively flag and solve problems that might impact result or timelines
Prepare Bill of Quantities schedule for approval.

Project Monitoring & Evaluation

Monitoring project progress and performance.
Evaluating and closing out of projects.
Evaluating met objectives versus planned deliverables.
Evaluating actual tasks and events scheduled verses planned.
Evaluating resources used verses planned resource usage.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Project Advisory

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Providing status reports to the Managing Director.

Coordinate Program of Materials

Developing materials schedule.
Coordinate purchase of materials to be used with the Procurement department
Ensure that materials are of the prescribed quality
Resolving cross – functional issues at project level.

Team Management

Resolving cross – functional issues at project level.
Organizing team tasks and projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineering.
A Masters in Construction / Engineering will be an added advantage
Must be registered with BORAQS / Engineers Board.
A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
Must be self-driven and results oriented
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and adaptable.
Advanced technical education in construction an advantage
Able to work within strict timelines
Excellent planning skills
Analytical skills
