Reporting To: Project Lead
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the multi-view vein-based biometric authentication system pilot in selected counties. The role entails tracking deliverables, ensuring milestones are met, coordinating meetings, and managing field activities. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Kenya’s health information system, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a detailed project plan, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments.
Oversee the implementation of project activities in the pilot counties.
Ensure adherence to project goals, scope, and deliverables.
Track project milestones, ensuring timely execution of tasks.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Work closely with MOH, county health officials, healthcare providers, and implementing partners.
Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings, including workshops and training sessions.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Develop strategies to support adoption and user acceptance among healthcare providers.
Facilitate smooth integration of the biometric authentication system into the existing Kenya Health Information System (KHIS).
Prepare and submit progress reports to the project lead
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes
Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management, preferably in the healthcare or technology sector.
Strong understanding of Kenya’s health system, including KHIS and digital health solutions.
Experience in change management and stakeholder coordination.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
