Project Manager Engineering Manager

Primary responsibilities:
We are looking for a rockstar and Proactive Project Manager to join our team in driving growth and scale across all our products and partnerships to ensure commercial success and alignment across all internal and external stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, KPIs, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure project success
Work closely with the management team in managing various technical and non-technical projects
Working closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, UX designers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables..
Managing project risks and issues, identifying and mitigating potential project roadblocks, and providing solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
Monitoring project progress and providing regular project status reports to stakeholders, including project health, risks, and issues.
Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and user expectations, conducting quality assurance activities as needed.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring that development methodologies and best practices are followed.
Managing project scope changes and ensuring that they are documented, reviewed, and approved by stakeholders.
Manage the entire request management process from all teams and management on a daily basis across all channels
Work on technical proposals for strategic opportunities
Represent the company by attending requirement and business development meetings by defining scope of development and implementation plan
Keep the engineering team focused and work together on delivering solutions to customer/partners needs.
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external partners.
Analytical ability to break down complex problems and efficiently use data and analytics layered against high-quality user research to inform the direction of the product by assessing risks and opportunities.
Motivate technical staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, recognizing the role as that of both manager and support resource / mentor in line with agile methodology strategy. As well as listening to the teams suggestions and inputs without any discrimination whatsoever

Qualifications/experience:

At least 4 years of experience in startups as a senior technical leader/product manager
Degree in Business or Project management (PMP) or tech related course
Excellent communication and business skills
Excellent storytelling skills
Willingness to go an extra mile to manage chaos and expectations
Firm in their decision with high levels of integrity and emotional intelligence
Added advantage: technical skills, data skills, Fintech background
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
Strong expertise using data to synthesize information and make decisions.
Ability to build wireframes and mockups, with an aptitude for keeping things simple.
Be meticulous and have a high bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing a feature before it is released.
Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals.
Experience using agile development methodologies and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced and global company.
Strong proficiency using project management tools and software (e.g. with tools like Trello, Clickup, JIRA, and Slack)
4+ years of production experience in managing Agile Scrum distributed development teams
Excellent project management skills, including Project Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, and Resource Management
Experience with Git version control, scrum, and Agile Methodologies
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
