GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position has the overall responsibilities of:

Delivering the objectives of premium property development projects by managing end to end components and details.
Coordinating architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Managing project budgets, schedules, workplans and all resources to ensure projects are completed with all necessary approvals and within budgets.
Managing, developing, coaching and motivating the project team to ensure SOPs, safety, environment and health protocols and all controls are strictly adhered to.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing proactive strategies to minimize risks, delays and budget overruns.
Developing and delivering accurate and timely project status reports including issues arising and proposed solutions, planned versus actual cost trends, any scope variations, planned versus actual schedule updates to directors’ and stakeholders.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the following Core job elements:

Participate in, offer recommendations to the project management’s steering committee.
Oversee and manage all aspects of real estate development projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Provide support with negotiating project contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local regulations and permits
Manage project budgets, track expenses, performance KPIs, service levels, and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are being met within budgetary constraints.
Proactively identify and implement solutions to resolve complex challenges and keep projects on track.
Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and financial analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct ongoing site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality standards and safety protocols.
Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to facilitate successful site acquisitions and ongoing collaboration,
Maintain communication with all parties to provide updates, address concerns, and resolve issues as they arise.

EDUCATIONAL AND COLLATERAL REQUIREMENTS:

An undergraduate degree from an accredited University with at least eight years’ experience in real estate development and project management.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Ability to deliver impactful reports and insights with exceptional strategic, analytical, creative, communication, problem solving, team management and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively negotiate contracts, manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate the complexities of real estate development.
Experience fulfilling property development regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
The fiduciary responsibilities call for demonstrated utmost integrity, a self-starter, mature individual.
