Job purpose:
The Project Assistant, will report to the Project manager. He/she will take lead in data collection for Family planning and Every Woman, Every child progress from stakeholders and Government. He/Shewill support technical/operations in coordination, planning, organizing meetings and project activities and implementation as is required.
Main Responsibilities
Quarterly data collection, data analysis and drafting the quarterly Activity progress report for presentation at the quarterly stakeholder meetings.
Coordinate partners (government, development partners, civil society) and galvanise them around the financial and non-financial commitments of Every Woman Every Child, Ending New-born Mortality Action Plans (ENAP) and Ending Preventable Maternal Mortalities (EPMM) country action plans.
Coordinate the preparation and facilitation of the quarterly stakeholder meetings.
Active follow up with partners on actions taken to addressing prioritized barriers highlighted at quarterly stakeholder meetings.
Coordinate the implementation of the communication outreach strategy and media reporting on financial and non-financial commitments of FP2030 and Every Woman Every Child.
Conduct regular partner mapping in order to maintain an up-to date partner -contact database.
Document experiences and lessons learned during project implementation.
Submit quarterly progress (technical and financial) reports.
Hold regular monthly update calls with Project manager.
Document and maintain up-to-date files and records of the project.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education
A Bachelors degree in Social Science, Public Health or health related fields;
Experience
At least Three (3) years relevant experience in multi-country programming, human resources for health advocacy, reproductive health and rights and knowledge of policy issues including maternal child health.
Knowledge in project management with proven track record in program planning,documentation and reporting.
Knowledge of health systems in Africa and health systems strengthening needs.
