Programs Assistant

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning and Management:

Leading in specific program implementation as assigned by the CEO and PM
Support the programme team, in the implementation of Organization’s programs and projects.
Support in coordination, implementation and delivery of program activities in timely and accurate manner.
Support in monitoring and documenting program results, including tracking and managing of project resources.
Be the focal point for day-to-day mobilization for program activities, including logistics. Knowledge Management and Communication:
Support in day-to-day management of the network’s social media channels as assigned by the Communications Officer.
Support the knowledge management officer in the day-to-day management of the network’s website content.
Support in the collection, sharing and management of resources relevant to members, partners and stakeholders through social media, Website, E-Newsletter and various forums.
Support knowledge management team in establishing, strengthening, maintaining and contact database.
Support the development and growth of the Knowledge library Network Management and Development:
Support in maintaining frequent communications with network members.
Support in the recruitment and membership drive
Mobilize network members to engage and participate in network activities.
Support in the implementation of the communication strategy
Support in coordinating and planning network events as advised.
Support in the development of network reports on related program activities. Resource Mobilization.
Research and analyse possible partners call for funding applications including expressions of interest and requests for proposals as relates to county’s activities.
Support in resource mobilization including grant proposal development.
Support in identifying fundraising opportunities and applying for them. Administration
Support in the management of program databases, network members’ information.
Support in coordination, organizing and managing and management of project activities including – scheduling of meetings, documentation of project activities, material preparation.
Assist in managing logistical plans including travel arrangements, registration lists, conference material preparation to name a few.
Support in program assessments and reviews and prepare reports on program outcomes.
Provide general support to organization’s operations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Public Administration, Communication or related field is an asset.
5 years of progressively responsible experience with Programs/ Administrative tasks.
Work experience within the Philanthropy Sector is an added advantage.
Proficient with computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
Professional and pleasant demeanor
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Sharp attention to detail with an extraordinary ability to multitask
