Programmes Coordinator – Financial Resilience Hub

Job Description
The main objective of this role is to:

Coordinate and implement the National Financial Resilience Hub, and support the Regional Hub.
As the Programme Coordinator, you will be the primary contact for the Hub Project, responsible for coordinating and executing project activities.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with consortium partners to ensure effective integration and coordination of national and regional hub activities.
Lead the identification and selection of partners, aiming to strengthen their skills and capacity.
This includes supporting Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) through various learning methods such as online courses, face-to-face training, coaching, mentorship, and exchange visits.
Coordinate the creation and publication of capacity-building materials focused on financial resilience and organizational Development (Institutional strengthening).
Assist in developing and maintaining an online platform/portal by collaborating with domain experts.
Oversee the delivery of capacity development support for CSOs, covering diverse areas of organizational development and financial resilience.
Proactively explore, develop, and secure resources for the Civil Society Strengthening portfolio, working closely with the organization’s management team.
Participate in and represent the organization at relevant forums and meetings with government bodies, donors, and civil society groups. Facilitate opportunities for the organization to learn from and share experiences.
Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to generate routine project reports, including quarterly and annual program reports, donor reports, board reports, and other ad-hoc reports.
Perform any other duties assigned as needed to support the project’s success.

Requirements
Required Qualifications and Competencies

University degree in development studies or a related social studies field.
Minimum of seven years in program development and civil society strengthening projects.
At least six years in coordinating capacity building projects, networking, and monitoring and evaluation. Experience with civil society partners in East Africa is a plus.
Ability to engage at high levels with clear learning objectives, especially with CSO leaders.
Experience in organizational development, effective grant making, and mentoring partner organizations.
Strong proposal writing and fundraising skills with proven success.
Ability to work in a team, be adaptable, and contribute to broader organizational goals.
Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, resource mobilization, and managing donor relations.
Strong leadership and management skills with experience in team growth and project management.
Experience with online capacity building platforms.
Knowledge in social justice investing, asset building, and civil society compliance regulations is advantageous.
Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
